High School Industrial Technology:
I'm a 1993 graduate of Elwood Community High School and a 1998 graduate of Ball State University. I began teaching at Elwood during the 1999/2000 school year and I taught at both the middle school and high school for the next three years. Starting in 2004, I taught full time at EMS until moving to ECHS for the 2010-2011 school year. I currently teach Construction Systems, Manufacturing Systems, Transportation Systems, and Computer Aided Design (CAD).
New for the 2013/2014 school year is the availability of dual credit in the Manufacturing Systems class. This has been made possible through a joint venture between Conexus Indiana's HIRE Technology program, Ivy Tech, and Red Gold (our industry A+ partner). This class will help prepare students for work in industry by offering APICS (The Association for Operations Management) and MSSC (Manufacturing Skill Standards Council) certifications along with college credits through Ivy Tech. This class can help prepare students for work in industry whether their interest is working on a manufacturing line, engineering, working in management or anywhere in between.
